ONC Initiatives: Utilizing the Standards and Interoperability Framework

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The Standards & Interoperability (S&I) Framework seeks to create building blocks and solutions for achieving robust, secure health information exchange to improve quality of care across the healthcare continuum. NeHC hosts Jitin Asnaani to deliver updates on the progress of the multiple initiatives launched within the S&I Framework, which focus on single challenges with sets of value-creating goals and the creation of reusable tools and services. Stakeholders learn how ONC is working to improve clinical transitions, streamline vocabularies, harmonize current implementation guides and establish scalable standards and data models for digital certificates and provider directories in pursuit of increasing interoperability and improving usability for physicians, payers, hospitals, HIEs and others.
