NeHC Congratulates VLER Project Managers on Being Named EHR Game Changers by Health Data Management
National eHealth Collaborative (NeHC) is proud to congratulate Jamie Bennett, Program Manager, Virtual Lifetime Electronic Record (VLER) Health Office, and Brian Morgan, Information Technology Program Manager, VLER Nationwide Health Information Network (NwHIN) Program Management Office, from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for being co-recipients of the EHR Game Changer Award sponsored by Health Data Management.
According to Health Data Management, EHR Game Changers are "individuals from across the spectrum of industry stakeholders--hospitals, group practices, payers, associations, federal and state governments, and health technology vendors--who have helped in the evolution of EHR technology and its increasing adoption by provider organizations." Bennett and Morgan were recognized for their work in launching the VLER pilot program on the Nationwide Health Information Network Exchange. The pilots have connected 12 VA Medical Center Communities with several private health information exchanges and providers across the country.
