There is a great discussion on quality measures and consumer focus on California Healthcare Foundation website:  How Should California Measure Quality in Health Care?

The Pacific Business Group on Health's Consumer-Purchaser Disclosure Project recently released a report spelling out "Ten Criteria for Meaningful and Usable Measures of Performance." CHCF has compiled the resonses from some experts in this field. 

I think quality measures will be the foundation of the new healthcare system we are moving into.  It would be important to hear what consumer advocates think of this topic.
