NeHC presents the release of the Patient Engagement Framework!
November 19, 2012
10:30 - 11:30AM ET
Healthcare is undergoing an historic transformation driven by technology and the call for better care at lower costs. As a result, the role of the patient in healthcare is also changing. According to National Coordinator for Health IT, Dr. Farzad Mostashari, patient engagement blockbuster drug of the century.
But between all the tools, from EHRs to PHRs to Mobile apps, how can providers navigate this rapidly changing healthcare landscape and leverage technology to help patients become partners in their care?
Join National eHealth Collaborative (NeHC) as we unveil the Patient Engagement Framework. Vetted by over 150 healthcare stakeholders and a diverse set of health IT, standards and consumer organizations, this tool guides providers and healthcare organizations in their patient engagement journeys. The Framework helps organizations measure progress in leveraging and implementing eHealth tools and resources to better engage patients by showing them where they are on the road to full engagement and where they can go. NeHC will welcome Leslie Kelly Hall from Healthwise to explain the Framework and the development process. She will be joined by Jeff Donnell, President of NoMoreClipboard, and Eva Powell, Director of Health It Programs at the National Partnership for Women and Families, to discuss the importance of the Framework and how they are using it to improve their patient engagement strategies.
