Health Information Exchange Learning Network

Following the NeHC HIE Roadmap Webinar Series

May 13, 2013 - HIE and New Payment and Delivery Models: This webinar will feature leaders from two very sophisticated and mature HIEs, HealthBridge and Quality Health Network (QHN), who will describe how they are supporting new payment and delivery models from the use of analytic tools (such as business intelligence and comparative analytics) to developing the necessary infrastructure to perform quality reporting and referral processing. Expert panelists will also explore their rationale for why HIEs should provide information and tools to support positive changes in provider and patient behavior; have an open, transparent and trustworthy governance model so that competitors are willing to share data; and deliver services in a manner that keeps the patient at the center of care.

About the HIE Learning Network

NeHC has established the HIE Learning Network to provide the ideal venue for facilitating the education and collaboration that is needed to fast-forward progress toward a widespread and integrated deployment of efficient and effective HIE.

NeHC has seen great success from its efforts to identify and educate stakeholders on critical success factors for sustainable HIE. NeHC’s HIE profiles report, Secrets of HIE Success Revealed: Lessons from the Leaders, its NeHC University Spotlight Learning Series on HIE Leadership and Sustainability – which highlights case studies of leading HIE-enabling organizations and hosts roundtable discussions with subject matter experts on challenging HIE issues – and its Roadmap for Health Information Exchange have been widely renowned across the health IT landscape.

NeHC’s latest work, Following the NeHC HIE Roadmap: Four Routes to Success, is a collections of findings and recommendations from the HIE Learning Network’s groundbreaking work to develop solutions for some of the most challenging HIE issues. The recommendations included in the HIE Learning Network workgroups’ culmination whitepapers are the result of five months of collaborative work by a group of over 450 stakeholders. Each NeHC HIE Learning Network whitepaper extensively documents the workgroup’s process, landscape, research analysis, conclusions, recommendations and multiple case study examples.
