Statement of Scope

Economic pressures, health reform, and a healthcare system that is moving from paying for volume to paying for value are driving the establishment of new payment and delivery models. HIE is a critical foundation for the success of these new models, as well as the new partnerships and arrangements that will be required between payers and providers. This workgroup will consider the full range of HIE services and identify those that are most critical to support these new models.
