Spotlight Learning Series
Program Description
The Spotlight Learning Series is a series of classes designed to provide stakeholders with an in-depth examination of specific initiatives or issues in HIT. This semester, NeHC will convene three different Spotlight Learning series on engaging and timely topics. All three programs will feature case studies on organizations that are leading the way in critical areas of their field. Spotlight Learning Series: HIE Leadership and Sustainability
Description: NeHC's HIE case studies will feature executives from selected HIEs to discuss their organization’s background, business model, critical success factors, key challenges, connectivity strategies, value proposition, impact in their communities, and future outlook.
Spotlight Learning Series: Consumer Engagement and Health IT
Description: This series will feature representatives from selected organizations to discuss how they are taking strong steps to engage consumers. Panelists in this series will discuss their view on the benefits of engaging consumers, their history, key challenges, success stories, and their view on the future of consumer engagement.
Spotlight Learning Series: Health IT in Rural and Underserved Communities
Description: This semester, NeHC has developed a series of education programs to describe the landscape of health IT in rural and underserved communities, identify key health IT challenges in those communities, highlight resources and programs that may be available and share information on how interested organizations in rural and underserved communities can take advantage of those resources. The series will also showcase examples of projects and initiatives in that are leveraging health IT to deliver high quality, cost effective care in rural and underserved communities. Speakers and panelists will include prominent leaders with knowledge and expertise in the needs and opportunities facing rural and underserved communities.
Spotlight Learning Series: Behavioral Health & Health IT
Description: Continuing our series on the key challenges facing behavioral health, NeHC will host a series of programs on how health IT and HIE can improve quality of care while not jeopardizing confidentiality or patient privacy.
